I've had ALE installed and working for a while but recently noticed the Connection status is showing "Access is Denied" and its not updating the time of the lockouts since May of this year. I've followed all the install and troubleshooting guides and have double checked that I have the correct permissions set and audit settings. I'm using a dedicated service account to audit and run the service.

Have you tried to use "Domain admin" account instead just for test purpose?
If no, I would suggest to do it first, since "Access denied" error usually is returned when there are not enough permissions of service account to access a domain controller(s).
