I'm trying to use the Account Lockout Examiner with Google Apps Gmail.

Gmail supports POP using SSL on port 995.

I've tried setting the port to 995 but it is not working.

I don't see an option to tell it to use SSL.

Am I missing something?

Hello,

You aren't missing anything.  There isn't an option for SSL in Account Lockout Examiner.

We have run into this issue too.  The whole reason we downloaded ALE was to get email notifications for when user accounts in our domain become locked.  Can't use our email platform (Google Apps) as-is.

Is this the appropriate place to mention a feature request (SSL capability for the Account Lockout Examiner)?  The product is essentially unusable as-is for what we need it for.  I believe most email systems use SSL these days so the freeware product would be much more versatile with this setting included.
