I'm confused by the annotation used to create exclusions -- your instructions are somewhat cryptic. I have set up Netwrix to monitor my file server, upon which are stored redirected folders for some users. Netwrix is flagging changes to every file on the desktops of these users resulting in a huge list of changes. I want to exclude, for example, *.url and *.lnk files from logging. I understand this is done by editing the omitcollectlist.txt file but the syntax is not well explained. Supposing my server name is FileServer and the paths to the files are:

\\FileServer\Redirected\[username]\desktop\*.lnk

\\FileServer\Redirected\[username]\desktop\*.url

What is the correct syntax for excluding the said files? Is this correct?

*,,*.lnk

*,,*.url

Hi there,

You specified the correct syntax to exclude objects with lnk and url extension, so go ahead and specify those lines into omitcollectlist.txt.
