Hello dear Netwrix users,

 

 

I recently faced an issue regarding Netwrix Windows Server auditing. Whenever I start to audit, the health check reports an error that ".Net Framework 2.0 SP2 was not found" on my domain controller. I actually have the 4.0 installed.

 

I understand that the Framework 3.5 is OK, but the 4.0 is not. Therefore I would like to install also the 3.5. But hte problem is that it is not anymore proposed in the Windows Server roles list since a recent Windows update.

 

Do you have any idea on how to deal with that situation ?

That is really good to know as we will see this a lot I think.  I did some research and came across this which provides some workarounds to get 3.5 installed:

Thank you for your answer.

 

However I would suggest that a future version of Netwrix takes care of that point.

One does not simply remove and readd updates on a production AD server
