I am looking fo the correct sytax to use in the omitreportlist.txt, to remove the following path from auditing.

 

\\server-name\U$\Users\Usersname\DATA\

This file doesn't appear to exist in the freeware Change Notifier for File Servers.  Are you using Netwrix Auditor for File Servers (paid or trial?) if so you are welcome to create a support case on our customer portal at www.netwrix.com/support .

 

Either way the syntax should be similar to that which is found in the omitpathlist.txt file which is here:

# Put UNC paths you don't want to be included in FS change reports.
# Syntax: unc_path
#    Note: any part of the path can be * (to exclude any number of any characters).
#
# For example:
# \\server\share\*
#

 

So I would think that

\\server-name\U$\Users\Usersname\DATA\* would work

That worked a treat... And yes, i am currently trialling the Netwrix Auditor for File Servers
