We receive the following message notification “Failed to connect to server '*******'. Destination host is unreachable.”  The following message is in the NSM.log;  NSM.exe Error: 0 : [TID: 1, Time: 17/10/2016 07:56:50] Failed to connect to server '*******'. Destination host is unreachable.

Exception is: The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

 

The messages above suggest that it’s unable to communicate with the server but if I manually stop a service which it’s monitoring I receive the notification report telling me which services failed.

Hello,

 

Seems like the connection issue is perhaps intermittent.  Are you only seeing this in the NSM log and if so what functionality is it affecting?

It's not causing any functionality issues as far as I'm aware as if I manually stop a service we receive an email notification
