Services Monitor Access Denied

I am using your service monitor program but it fails to connect to one server for some reason.
The error message I get is
"Failed to connect to server '<servername>'. Access is denied."
I am using the domain administrator account. Is there any way to get a more detailed debug output so I can see why the error is occurring?

Please check following:
- Firewall is turned off
- WMI service is running on the target server
- RPC service is running on target server
Also please perform the following test:
- Run Services snap-in on Service monitor host
- Select Actions
- Connect to another computer
- Connect to target server with account that is using by Service monitor
Does it connect successfully?
You can check the Tracing folder in the Service Monitor installation directory for logs.

Thank you for your reply.
I can connect to the server from the Services MMC, as well as from the command line via "sc \\server query servicename".
The error in the tracing log is that the RPC server is not available and (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)
However, since I can connect both ways I mentioned above, I suspect the RPC server is running. I'll try Googling that error code and see if it helps.
Thanks again - and if you have any other hints or tips for troubleshooting this, please let me know!

RPC Server is definitely running. I have no problems accessing that server from any other machine using the same credentials so I am at a loss as to why Services Monitor appears to fail.
Any more ideas?! I'm stuck

There are a few other things you could check:
- Make sure the Firewall is off
- Make sure the RPC and WMI services are running
You can also try to add a rule that will allow tcp ports 135 and 445, if TMG is present.
