Hello.
We're evaluating NetWrix Auditor to audit changes on our netapp appliance cifs shares.
We have set up everything according to Installation Configuration Guide, and validation for NetApp filer component is green, but when it gets to actual data collection, we got the following errors, and no actual data is collected.

1/26/2015 5:38:54 PM: XXXX: Unable to detect NetApp settings.

As well (in /Tracing dir log files) we got this:

Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 1, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:25 PM] Data collection started...
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 1, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:25 PM] Start server: XXXX 3:00:25 PM
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 1, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:25 PM] #=qu2wJCjMkMfCU7WEzudkh0Hv_lN840o1WLPTLKuAjOoo= started
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 7, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:25 PM] NetApp settings entry for XXXX was not found
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 7, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:26 PM] server XXXX: 0 changes, 0 accesses
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 7, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:26 PM] Database operation: Start upgrade DB structure : NetWrix_File_Server_Change_Reporter
Fscr.exe Information: 0 : [TID: 7, Time: 1/26/2015 3:00:26 PM] Database operation: sp_getapplock return code : 0

As well, we have a few questions:
1. Is netwrix actually compatible with netapp version 8.1.4? (there was a significant change in web interface after version 7)
2. Wich file we should be pointing filer setting to as a log file? Using Installation Configuration Guide requirements, we have set up cifs.audit.autosave.file.extension timestamp, and cifs.audit.autosave.onsize.enable options, and now adtlog.evt is no loger updated, NetApp now writes logs to the file with last timestamp. (f.e. adtlog.20150126155729.evt) Does NetWrix handle this somehow?
Thanks in advance.

Igors,

Can you confirm what mode the Netapp is running in? It is version 8 but what mode?

Igor,

I assume this is not the freeware version since freeware does not support NetApp. You are welcome to log a support case on our Customer Portal or give us a call and we will be happy to assist.
